About Farm
Vegetables from real lithuanian village
Algimantas Vaupšas’ Vegetable-Growing Farm was registered in 1996. Currently the centre of the Farm is located in Dvarčius Village, in the territory of Smilgevičiai Manor (dating back to the beginning of the 20th century). Here buildings acquired form an agricultural company were used for establishment of vegetable storages, industrial buildings, and office of the Farm. Currently the Farm employs 87 people.
The Farm is engaged in growing carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, pumpkins, black radishes, turnips, parsley, dills. The vegetables are also supplied to foreign countries such as Latvia, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Canada.
A. Vaupšas’ Farm takes part in various competitions for agricultural production as well as agricultural exhibitions held in foreign countries.
The Farm has taken the opportunity to use the support provided by the European Union and purchased modern technologies and equipment intended for processing of the grown vegetables. This resulted in more opportunities to improve the quality of grown and manufactured products, to increase the competitiveness of the Farm and production efficiency.
